This board was immediately successful when I used it with a 17 year old male who was having difficulty staying on task. He was prone to temper tantrums and engaging in socially inappropriate behavior and social stories had not been working for us. We put on the items that could be asked for appropriately and even though he would ask for a video and we would have to say he had to work first that was all he needed to calm down and do the work. The verbal acknowledgement along with the visuals helped this student tremendously. We had tried other visuals but I think the line drawing of frustration did the trick. He has since pointed to where the board is kept in my office to communicate rather than throwing the temper tantrum. I wasn't expecting a quick fix but it worked and has continued to work.

This is exactly what I need with one of my new students. I will try it on Monday!

This is exactly what I was looking for to work with one of the child. I will try it out on Tuesday and see if it helped and let you know.
