The board book, Black Cat, White Moon by Nina Alexander is a wonderful book to use during language groups in early childhood special education classrooms. It has very simple language and pictures for children with limited expressive language skills; however, the actions in the pictures allow for more complex questions and making simple inferences for children with higher language abilities.
